Peng T. Ong

Peng is venture building defensible AI-powered companies that will change how we live. He is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of VC firm Monk’s Hill Ventures, operating out of Southeast Asia. Prior to Monk’s Hill Ventures, he was a Venture Partner at GSR Ventures in China.

As an entrepreneur, Peng co-founded a series of successful companies including Match.com, Interwoven and Encentuate, whose products even today combined generate over USD$1 billion in revenues annually.

Peng was awarded Singapore's Public Service Medal in 2012. He formerly held board directorships in statutory and public company boards, including: ACE, IIPL, SUTD, NRF, IE Singapore, IMDA, SingTel and YY. Peng is currently the Chair of SolveEducation! and serves as a member of the International Advisory Board for the University of Texas at Austin.

He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois. Even though he had dropped out of the Ph.D. program, Peng was inducted to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, College of Engineering's Alumni Hall of Fame in 2016.

Wei Qing JEN

Wei Qing is the CEO and cofounder of Vybes, a leading social commerce platform in Southeast Asia, funded by Peak XV (formerly Sequoia) and DSG Consumer Partners.

Prior to Vybes, Wei Qing was an investor with Temasek (a US$300 billion fund), where she was part of the China team responsible for early stage investments in decacorns such as Alibaba and Xiaomi. She was also responsible for government relations, where she worked with government and state enterprise leaders to foster innovation.
 

Before living in Chin, Wei Qing started her career with McKinsey in New York advising Fortune 500 companies.

Wei Qing has served on many non-profit boards and societies, including the Stanford Alumni Club of Singapore, Financial Women's Association of San Francisco, and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce's Career Women's Group.

She earned a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University and an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Harvard University.
